Machine Learning Scientist

ImFusion is a growing company located in Munich, conducting research, development and consulting in advanced medical image computing technologies and computer vision. Our customers include small and large medical device companies as well as academic research labs. Tasks and responsibilities

Since the core expertise of ImFusion lies in image analysis, a significant part of our work involve machine learning and deep learning in particular. As a machine learning engineer you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of applications, from 3D segmentation to real-time classification of 2D image streams including point-cloud analysis and many more. Typical tasks include:

  • Performing the training, evaluation and deployment of machine learning models in actual clinical systems
  • Participating in the design of our image processing algorithms and data collection workflow
  • Keeping yourself updated with the latest advances of the field (e.g. reading papers and participating to conferences)
  • Publishing relevant research in top conferences and journals

Skills and requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Engineering)
  • Significant experience in medical imaging and/or computer vision
  • Strong programming skills, especially in C++
  • Ability to conduct applied research independently
  • Proficiency in English
